A Wealth of Experience
Jim has been with Baird since 2000 and in the financial services industry for over 29 years. Prior to joining Baird, Jim was with Smith Barney as a Vice President since 1994. He began his career in 1987 at Piper Jaffray. His areas of expertise include comprehensive financial planning to ensure clients meet their financial goals.
Jim obtained his bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1983.
Jim earned his Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation, which is administered by the Investment Management Consultants Association® (IMCA®) to wealth managers and advisors who complete the experience, education, examination and ethics requirements. Jim also holds his Chartered Life Underwriter® designation, a highly respected achievement of insurance expertise that requires the designee to complete extensive coursework and meet the ethical and experience standards of The American College. The CLU® provides candidates in-depth knowledge on the insurance needs of individuals, business owners, and professional clients.
Jim takes a very personal one-on-one approach to meeting clients’ financial and personal goals with an emphasis on superior service. He recognizes that every client is different and consequently have their own needs and goals. Jim takes pride in helping his clients identify their needs and then develops an individualized plan to achieve their goals within their individual risk tolerance.
Committed to the Community
Jim has been involved in the following: Committee assignments for Millard Public Schools, Session Elder at the Presbyterian Church of the Cross, and leadership roles with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He resides in Omaha with his wife Katharine and four children Alexander, Emma, Gregory and Liesel. In his free time he enjoys fishing, boating, hiking, kayaking and gardening.
